An Evening At 503

So the Rapid Write Response evening at Theatre 503 in Battersea was great fun, and I’m glad to have seen a play of mine performed in front of a mostly unknown audience. It’s the only way to figure out how it really lands with an audience. Mine was certainly one of the weaker of the seven shorts, but it was perfectly placed in it’s slot – second on in the evening, not too weighty, not too light, brief and keeps the ball rolling.

I think I’m going to expand this out into a full-lengther, a nice romantic comedy. I’ve always wanted to write one! Well…a romantic comedy that ends up pondering something quite serious anyway.

Text of the Monday’s piece can be found here.
