Zero Dark Thirty

I’ve yet to see Zero Dark Thirty, Kathryn Bigelow’s followup to The Hurt Locker, but like it’s predecessor, it’s getting some serious critical acclaim from all over the shop. As a little counter, here’s an article questioning the positioning of torture in the film.

When writing my first essay at CSSD, I was similarly fascinated in what Bigelow was really doing with The Hurt Locker. It’s not great – it was my first essay in about three years – but you might find some interesting nuggets, so here it is too.
