‘Don’t sweat the little stuff’ goes the Amercanism. It sounds wonderfully ‘mom-kitchen-table-advice’ while alluding to a wider, spiritual contemplation. The problem is that both it and it’s ante-upping older brother, ‘live like there’s no tomorrow’, don’t accept is that unless you’re terminally Ill or know you’ll drive you vauxhall astra into a concrete barrier tomorrow rush hour, the ‘small stuff’ is all you’ve got. The small stuff is the means by which we define and justify our existences.
Big ‘Little’ Things… now that’s where it’s at. Examples on the morrow when I feel less like a hog.
